Who guides you through is a body bent.

“Who guides you through is a body bent” is hung at a height just over the average adult viewer’s head. It asks viewers to stand below on a low platform and read an open book page. The reader cranes their neck and shades themselves from the glare of the bare light bulb. The work’s title is a line from my book SPEECH which is splayed open to a passage on “the refugee” and the challenge of writing the refugee/writing about the refugee. Curated by David Darts for Open Studios 2019, NYUAD; exhibited at Grey Noise in “Poetry School.”
